We now have permission to use detectors (no digging) on the main site, shown above, thats located at ground level. The tunnels and caverns are still off limits (even the ones leading down to the Underground City of the Almighty).

There will be a $20.00 per person cost and this event will last to 5:00PM. We will meet at the Fortress of the Arts located at 221 Glenwood Ave, Philly PA at 1:30PM. We will have refreshments and get to know each other and the type of equipment we're using. Then at 2:00PM we will walk a block over to the main site where the entrance to the tunnels are located. We will have fun using the detectors to explore the site til 5:00PM when this event ends.

Please read about the history of the site, it's been updated by contacts in the native american indian meetup group, history channel, and the Freemason's research department located in Philadelphia. Visit and read http://archaeology.me...

The owner of this site will have you sign a waiver stating that he or the meetup group is not responsible for you getting hurt or injured.

Any questions or problems give Kat a call at 610-291-1020. We apologize that this event was put together at the last minute and hope to have other events that are planned several weeks in advance.

Awesome adventure with some great people I met. Can't wait to go out on future metal detecting events with this group.

This was promoted initially as a trip to 'metal detect', then at the Eleventh hour... a 'no digging' statement was announced. This is an oxymoron. Why would any metal detector enthusiast worth his or her salt possibly be interested in going through the time and expense of this effort if 'no digging' is the criteria??? I have much, much better things to do with my limited free time than pay $20 for basically nothing. Kat, I urge you to research and put forth a better effort next trip if you wish to pursue this metal detecting venture.
    •  I imagine most of the, no-shows were due to the fact that we weren't going into any tunnels but it still a fascinating tour of an old slaughterhouse that was active as recently as 1976 or so. Thanks to Kat for her efforts in organizing this an to site owner Steve for being so generous and understanding about how metaldiggers have a thing for finding what's hidden. There migt have been no detecting, but the historical aspects were worth it.

We really enjoyed meeting everyone and getting a tour. Lots of possibility, thanks for inviting us. We can't wait to find more places to explore.
