- Introduction
- Hi, I'm a former architectural photographer who enjoys metal detecting, exploring, and bottle hunting. There is so much tangible history around us that we can hold in our hands and say "this hasn't been held or seen since____!" Now how cool is that?!
- How long have you been metal detecting? What would you categorize your experience level as? (novice, intermediate, expert, other)
-
I have been metal detecting for about six years now, but would still consider myself a novice due to the lack of time spent in the field.
- What type(s) and/or model(s) of metal detector(s) do you own? Do you own more than one metal detector that can be used, if needed, at a group event for other members who don't already own one?
-
Only have the White's Classic III
- What locations have you hunted for treasure in? What kind of treasure(s) and/or ancient artifact(s) have you found? What is your age?
-
I've searched yards and fields for relics and coins. Would like to cncentrate on more colonial sites in the future for relics.
- What are you looking to get out of this group? Are you interested in working with other members to organize events, or do you prefer to attend events held by other members?
-
I am new to the meet-up scene and would be interested in meeting some people with the same interests. I would not be against doing my part to see a meetup come together.
- What locations do you want to investigate for treasure and /or ancient artifacts? Do you want to travel a short or long distance? (long distance is over 100 miles from where you live). Are you willing to carpool others who need a ride?
-
If there is a good place to hunt, 100 miles is no problem and so is letting a few hitch a ride.
